The Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) has added another feather to its cap for being the first e-Vidhansabha in the country as the entire proceedings of the sixth session of the 16th Assembly including the Governor’s Address and Budget presentation were made without using papers.

Besides, the 2021-22 Budget Estimates and the State Economic Survey were also presented as e-books through the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) Apps. Even, all starred and un-starred questions of members of the House, daily proceedings, committee reports, questions and answers and bulletins were available in this App.

On November 9, a virtual conference was organsied by the Indian Computer Society where OLA Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro spoke on the smooth functioning of the e-system and thanked everyone involved.

All the arrangements are being made by the State Government’s IT Department in collaboration with the NIC Odisha branch.
