After losing out the legal war to aspirants, the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has now decided to hold the Odisha Judicial Service (OJS)-2015 (Prelim) examination afresh. The examination would be held on September 6, said an OPSC notification on Friday.
Setting aside the May 31 examination on the grounds of faulty question papers, the Odisha High Court on July 28 had directed the
OPSC to hold the examinations again. But when the OPSC preferred to challenge the order of the single-judge Bench in a writ appeal, a Division Bench headed
by Chief Justice DH Waghela on Thursday upheld the earlier order.
Finding no other alternative, the OPSC decided to hold the examination for recruitment of 69 posts of civil judges in the State. Earlier, around 2000 aspirants had appeared
at the examination in which as many as 26 out of 100
questions were either wrong, out of syllabus or contained typographical and grammatical errors.
