Odisha Jan Morcha (OJM) Chief Pyarimohan Mohapatra on Friday hinted at the registration of his outfit as a political party for taking part in the coming general elections in 2014. He also gave a green signal to the members of his outfit to gear up for the polls.
Following the massive rallies, workers’ meets and public meetings, the OJM’s strength and confidence has increased by leaps and bounds and it is now in a position to tackle the other main political parties in the State, Mohapatra said.
He asserted that the national parties in the State are growing weaker by the day and hence the next polls will see the ruling BJD facing tough challenges from OJM. Notably, the suspended BJD leader had remarked in a Press meet held recently that in the forthcoming polls, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik-led BJD might suffer severe blows and Patnaik may be seen sitting in the Opposition’s seat in the House.
