A Jan Adhikar Yatra of the Odisha Jan Morcha (OJM) was kicked off from the Sector-17 Samalei Temple here on Wednesday for its journey to the Assembly constituencies of Rourkela, Raghunathpalli, Biramitrapur, Bonai and Rajgangpur in Sundargarh district after being flagged off by party observer and secretary Safdar Hasim.
According to Hasim, the aim of this 10-day-long Yatra is to make people aware regarding the failures and corruptions of the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD Government. The most target group is youths who are cheated by the Government as they do not get jobs.
The speakers at the flag-off meeting also focused on the plight of farmers in the State and demanded industry status to agriculture. A signature campaign would be undertaken during the Yatra demanding job for least one member of each family, they said.
The Yatra is being organised under the leadership of OJM district youth wing chief Susanta Sethy.
