OJM city youths protest Jagneswar's arrest

Published on:

Coming down heavily on the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD Government for its “autocratic rule”, the Bhubaneswar North youth activists of the Odisha Jan Morcha (OJM) on Tuesday staged a demonstration in front of the Crown Hotel here and demanded immediate release of party secretary general Jagnenswar Babu.

Shouting anti-Government slogans, the OJM activists led by Bhubaneswar North president Prasanta Paikray protested the “illegal” arrest of Babu and termed it as a well-planned conspiracy against the OJM. They also alleged that he was arrested on the instruction of Chief Minister Patnaik. “When the general secretary was in the BJD, he was being treated as an honest and good leader, but now he is arrested on various false charges as he has left the ruling party,” said Paikray.

He threatened that the OJM youths would intensify their agitation across the State if the Government does not release their leader.
