The Coal Mines Officers’ Association of the Mahanadi Coalfields limited Headquarters branch has strongly condemned the offensive act by a mob at the chamber of the MCl CMD at the headquarters at Burla on Monday.
Notably, an unruly mob of around 25 people led by Talcher MlA Braj Kishore Pradhan entered the CMD’s chamber in the morning and acted in an undemocratic manner and also ransacked the chamber that caused embarrassment to officials present at the chamber.
“While the CMOAI has the highest regards for an elected peoples’ representative, such act by an MlA is not only demoralising and de-motivating but also affects the commitment of the officers in their endeavour of meeting the energy security of the State and nation”, said a member of the association.
