A zoom meeting of the Odisha Environment Congress (OEC) 2020 was goranised here on Tuesday.
Delivering the welcome address, Sudarsan Das sought views from the invited OEC organising committee members whether to change the earlier-decided theme ‘Environment and Biodiversity’ to a theme on Covid19 as suggested by many recently.
Following opinions, it was decided that OEC should continue with the theme decided earlier and pandemic as a subtheme.
Around 20 such sub-themes were shortlisted. The suggested subthemes are concerned with biodiversity, human well being, development, pandemic as well as crucial issues touching the environmental periphery.
