Just two days after the deadly attack by Maoists which left 16 security personnel dead in Chhattisgarh, top police officers from the three States of West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand met in Jamshedpur in Jharkhand on Thursday to discuss strategies on ensuring free and fair general elections slated next month.

Various issues including coordination among the police in the three States, sharing of information about Maoists and other criminals and poor telecommunication network in some remote areas came up for discussion in the meeting, the sources added.
