The official website of the Odisha Urban Infrastructure Development Fund (OUIDF) www.OUIDF.in was formally launched at the State Secretariat here on Friday.
Chief Secretary Jugal Kishore Mohapatra launched it in the presence of Development Commissioner Injeti Srinivas, who outlined the basic objectives and contents of the OUIDF.
The OUIDF is an urban lending mechanism for infrastructural projects like urban water supply, sewerage, street light, drainage, solid waste management, slaughter house, affordable housing for economically weaker sections, slum development and basic services to urban poor.
The State Government set up the Fund as a trust some one and half-a-year ego with assistance from Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KFW), a Germany bank.
