The Daan Utsav (Festival of Giving) would be celebrated in both urban and rural areas of Odisha for a week from the Gandhi Jayanti day (October 2) to October to 8 this year.
Now people of Puri, Badamba, Daspalla, Badabarsing, Bari etc. would be part of the festival and celebrate and impact a lot in social and economic changes.
Odia rapper , Samir Rishu Mohanty alias Big Deal along with sand artist Manas Sahu would be part of Daan Utsav 2018. Even a 20-20 bicycle tour from Bhubaneswar and Cuttack would be taken out to promote the DaanUtsav.
On this 10th year, Alia Bhatt, lata Mangeshkar, Azim Premji, Mary Kom, Anu Aga, Chhavi Rajawat, Devi Shetty, Justice Srikrishna joined with Sachin Tendulkar as Ambassadors to promote the festival to a greater heights.
