To attract Gujarati entrepreneurs to the Odisha textile sector, the Spinfede under the Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts Department would organise an investors’ meet at Surat on September 16.
The South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce has provided all support to the Spinfede in this regard.
A detailed discussion on possible investment opportunities and related infrastructure creation in the textile sector would be held at the proposed meet. Opinion of experts would be taken for effecting development of the textile sector.
The event would be the first of its kind to be organised by the department.
It may be noted that textile industry has been given priority in the Odisha Industry Policy 2015. For this, ample investment opportunities in the sector have been created.
About 100 investors from Gujarat are likely to participate in the meet, informed Snipfede Managing Director AP Das.
