Odisha’s School Boxing team left here for participating in the Under-17 National Inter-School Boxing Championship to be held in Dehradun in Uttarakhand from December 4 to 8.
The team includes 12 boys and six girls, who have recently put up good performance in the State-level championship. The team had been practising at the Brahmapur Stadium under the leadership of referee Sisir Kumar Panigrahi.
The players are A Ritu Rao, Subhashree Behera, T Mona Kumari Patro, Aditya Kumar Mohanty, Surjyajanta Panigrahi of Ganjam, Madhusmita Sethi, Samanta Nayak, Asish Dash, Sunil Kumar Sahu, Gurudev Behera of Bhubaneswar, Sonia Rana, Khristana Kandulani, Sarita Samad, Deepak Murmu, Munindra Rohi Das of Sundargarh, Kabir Khan, Md Tukuna and Janmejaya Nayak of Puri and team manager Prabhat Kumar Das of Ganjam.
