Odisha Ranji Trophy Captain Nimai Charan Padhi (90) died at his residence at Kalinga Vihar here. He captained the 1958 Odisha Ranji Trophy teams for years. He was also the chairman of Ranji Trophy selection committee. Besides Cricket, he represented Utkal University in hockey, football and athletics. He served as a teacher.
