The two-day 19th All Odisha Quality Circle Convention was inaugurated by Nalco CMD Ansuman Das at Nalco Nagar here on Wednesday.
Nalco Director (Production) SS Mahapatra and Director (HR) SC Padhy were the guests of honour. Nalco Director (Commercial) Soma Mondal and ED (P&T) SK Dash were also present on the occasion.
Nalco ED (Production) V Balasubramanyam delivered the welcome address. This year, the theme of the convention is “In the race for quality, there is no finish line”. Altogether, 34 teams comprising 29 Quality Circles and five TPMs are participating from 22 organisations including Nalco, Tata Steel, HAl, NTPC and SAIl. The teams would be presenting their case studies in the convention.
It may be mentioned that the Nalco is organising this QC convention every year since 1996 with an aim to spread the Quality Circle movement in Odisha and also to provide a platform for competition to encourage the best Quality Circles and TPM Circles operating in the State.
