Saving millions from Fani continues to bring accolades to Odisha from both abroad and inside the country. Thanks to the ‘zero causality’ approach taken by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, a Chinese State Government has heaped praise on Odisha.

Similarly, a national policy making body Centre for Strategy and Leadership (CSL) has lavishly praised Chief Minister Patnaik.

The Government of China’s Jiangshu Province has sent appreciation letter to the Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA), which was in the forefront in battling the storm.

CSL Chief Vikash Sharma has written to Patnaik praising the admirable work done by the Odisha Government in battling against the cyclone with minimum loss of life.

“This is one of the greatest achievements by any State Government in India”, said CSL Chief, which is active in advocacy and advisory role in the country for sustainable development, both economic and social sector.

The State Government saved 1.2 million lives and helped the affected people during the onslaught of storm thanks to the Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi and Special Relief Commissioner Bishnupada Sethi.
