The Odisha police on Saturday issued a notification inviting online applications for recruitment to Sub-Inspector (SI) and Constable (Communication) posts.
DGP Abhay said young people should come forward and join the police force.
“I invite all qualified men and women to join the Odisha Police that will give you a very good career and an opportunity to serve the State,” DGP said.
There are two advertisements for recruitment to 477 SI posts and 244 Constable (Communication) posts. The application portal would remain open from June 22 till July 15.
While the minimum qualification for the post of SI is graduation, the qualification for Constable (Communication) is Plus Two with diploma or degree in Computer Applications.
The examinations would be conducted with a slight change in pattern this year. The recruitment process consists of a written test that carries multiple choice questions, physical measurement test and physical efficiency test, the DGP said.
