The Odisha police has began preparations for implementing the ‘Mo Sarkar’ scheme which is going to kick start from October 2.
On Wednesday, DGP BK Sharma reviewed the preparations with the Twin City Commissioner of Police, all range IGs, DIGs and Superintendent of Police through video conferencing from the police headquarters. Sharma directed the officers to set up call centres in the State as well as district level for implementing the scheme in true letter and spirit.
For this the Crime records Bureau has produced dash board which would display the telephone numbers of the complainants in the police stations.
In the State level the call centre would function in the State Crime Records Bureau and in the district level it would function in the office of the SPs.
Elaborate discussions were also held on how to make the behaviour of the police station staffs professional and friendly. For this, one or two selected officers of the districts would be trained, and after training they would train other staffs in phases.
The State level traning would commence in August 30 in the State capital. Sharma asked the officers to complete all preparations on a war-footing by September 30.
