People from different walks of life expressed grief over the death of former President Pranab Mukherjee.
Describing Mukherjee as an illustrious son of India, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said Mukherjee had vast knowledge on almost all the issues and was insightful, prudent and balanced in all his approach to life.
He conveyed his deep sympathies to the bereaved family.
State Congress president Niranjan Patnaik said, “India has lost a loving son.”
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, “A statesman, a doyen of Indian politics, Pranabda’s passing away is a personal loss for me.”
