Suryakant Biswal of Madhupur village under Chandabali block in Bhadrak district had found the phone while he was returning from hsi workplace. He enquired about the possessor of the iPhone in the locality but in vain as no one was able to give a satisfactory answer in this regard.

Biswal decided to keep the mobile phone with himself. Later, the owner of the device telephoned on the number and urged Biswal to return it to him saying that its worth more than Rs 1 lakh. Biswal told the person to produce proof regarding ownership of the phone and receive it from him.

As Biswal handed over the device to its owner, the latter gave him Rs 2,000 as a token of gratitude, which he refused to accept. “The joy of giving is greater than the joy of taking,” Biswal said to the person.
