Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) KB Singh on Wednesday asserted the State police would conduct a thorough probe into the alleged donations made to the Mathura cult, Azad Bharat Vidhik Vaicharik Kranti Satyagrahi, from an Odisha link.
After it was revealed from a recovered half-burnt diary from Jawahar Bagh of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh that a donor from Cuttack in Odisha was regularly donating Rs22 lakh every month to the cult, the Odisha police were requested by the UP police to identify the donor immediately.
Claiming that there possibly could be a Right-wing link to the Mathura cult, the UP police believe that the cult head Ram Vriksha Yadav was getting regular donations from its sympathisers from Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
