People across the globe know Odisha as the State of lord Jagannath and birthplace of legendary leader Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. While lord Jagannath is the first identity of the State, Netaji is its second identity, observed speakers while speaking at a function to mark the 117th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose here at the Raj Mahal square.
The day was organsied as the Desa Prem Divas by the Utkal Bikasa Juba Parisada. Speakers, including Parisada president Debi Prasad Prusti, Debendra Das, Prafulla Samantra, Uma Charan Mishra and Prahallad Singh expressed their concern as Netaji’s death still remains a mystery. The speakers too highlighted the leader’s achievements and urged the people to be patriotic and duty bound citizens.
