Odisha is a culturally vibrant State, opined Prime Minister Narendra Modi while unveiling a book Vande Bharatam, authored by renowned Odia writer Pandit Prabodh Kumar Mishra in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The book is an anthology of nationalistic poems in Sanskrit, which were published in different newspapers of the State on various occasions. Modi further said the land of Odisha would always be worshiped as lord Jagannath, lord of the Universe, is considered as the presiding deity of the State. Stating that Sanskrit language is the soul of the entire country, Modi said Pandit Mishra, who has so far written as many as 70 books, has vast contributions in promoting Sanskrit.
Among others, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan and MP Bhartruhari Mahtab were present on the occasion.
