In view of the BJP surging ahead in the panchayat elections, senior party leader and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursdayclaimed that Odisha is heading towards a big change. The ruling party should accept the mandate of the people, he said.
He reiterated his charge that the ruling BJD is using the bureaucracy in its own interest and creating a panicking environment to terrorise people.
“In a democracy, people are supreme. We are here only for their blessings, and if they don’t bless we will be nowhere. They (BJD) should refrain from hatching conspiracy with the bureaucrats of the Third Floor. People have started turning their faces from the BJD. This is just the beginning, and those who have a little trust in democracy should accept the change,” Pradhan told reporters here.
