The tragic accident of the Puri-Haridwar Kalinga Utkal Express in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday that reportedly killed 10 passengers and left many more injured was a cause of worry for many Odisha families whose relatives were travelling by the train.

According to information, some families became anxious about the fate of their near and dear ones after the news of derailment of six bogies of the train, which was on its way from Puri to Haridwar, was telecast in news channels. Some families reportedly couldn't understand whom to contact.

According to reports, as many as 86 passengers had boarded the train from Puri and many of them are likely to be people of Odisha.
