The Odisha Government has failed to meet the deadlines of various projects under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PAY) and the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), said Union Rural Development Minister Ram Kripal Yadav here on Saturday. The Minister said this after reviewing progress in various Centrally-sponsored schemes in Odisha.
“The Odisha Government, though provided sufficient funds, is yet to complete 70,000 houses under IAY scheme in Odisha,” he said.
He said the Government is misleading the people of the State. While 1.81 lakh houses have been build under the Biju Awas Yojna, the rest houses are built with the Central Government funds, Yadav added.
