The 22nd Odisha Bigyan ‘O’ Paribesh Congress would be held at the Ravenshaw University, Cuttack on November 20 and 21 under the joint auspices of the Orissa Environmental Society and the Ravenshaw University on the focal theme ‘Overcoming the Challenges: Role of Science and Technology’.
Notably, the conference has been playing a crucial role in bringing to a common platform scientists, researchers, professors and students working in the fields of science and technology in Odisha and beyond. The focus of the conference has been to discuss the advancements made in various frontiers of science and encourage the new generation of researchers by discussing their research findings and the success they have achieved.
Launched under the initiative of the Orissa Environmental Society in 1997, the conference is held annually at an established university or research institute of the State.
Eminent scientists have been invited to speak at various sessions of this year’s event. Researchers and students from various research centres and higher education institutions would present their research papers, both oral and in poster, in the technical sessions.
Some senior scientists of the State would be felicitated for their lifetime contributions. Best paper presenters would also be awarded in the valedictory function.
Convener Dr Jayakrushna Panigrahi and organising secretary Prof Luna Samanta have requested researchers and students from different parts of the State to participate in large numbers to make the Congress a grand success.
