The Bhubaneswar Chapter of the Indian Science Congress Association is all set to hold the 16th Odisha Bigyan Congress here at the Institution of Physics from November 23. The two-day event would be inaugurated by Minister of Science and Technology Ramesh Chandra Majhi.
The theme of the conference is ‘Innovations in science and technology for inclusive development’ which is also the theme of the 101st Indian Science Congress to be organised at the Jammu University in February next.
During the conference, five eminent senior scientists of the State would be felicitated. Many distinguish scientists have been invited to present lectures on different fronts of the science and technology.
The researchers would present oral and poster papers in the technical sessions and the best presentations would be awarded at the valedictory function.

The Bhubaneswar Chapter of the Congress was established in 1997 and it provides a common platform to scientists, teachers, researchers and students of the State to have fruitful deliberations on advancement of science and future course of research.
