Thalassemia patients, who are going to Bombay for treatment, would be provided rooms in the Odisha Bhawan there for stay henceforth. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced this on Thursday.

Parents take much care for their children suffering from thalassemia patients as they need regular blood transfusion for a very long period of time. Those patients going to Mumbai for treatment will be provided boarding facility at the Odisha Bhawan, said a CMO release.

Notably, cancer and heart patients are allotted rooms on a priority basis. From now, the thalassemia patients would get the same priority, the release added.
