The dead body of Narendra Palai, a resident of Gopinath Prasad under Khordha district’s Banpur block who died in a road accident in Saudi Arabia on October 20, arrived in the city airport late on Saturday night by the efforts of former Kendrapada MP Baijayant Panda.
Earlier, Panda had requested in a letter to Ambassador of India in Saudi Arabia Ahmad Javed to bring back Palei’s body to India soon.
A representative team of Panda paid tributes to Palei at the airport. Then, the body was handed over to the family.
“Death of Odia people outside the State is rising day by day. Odia people are being forced to go outside to earn their living as they are not getting jobs in the State. Odia workers should get jobs in their respective regions,” said Panda in a statement.
