A 36-year-old man, Mahendra Kumar Nath, of Goptira village under Chandan Nagar gram panchayat in Kendrapada district’s Pattamundai police limits reportedly died of Covid-19 in Abu Dhabi on May 8.
Nath had been working as a labour supervisor at EFS Facilities Services in Abu Dhabi. Earlier on April 25, Mahendra had informed his wife over telephone that he was detected positive for Covid-19 and was going to A1 Ain Hospital for treatment.
But he died at the hospital on May 8, informed Debadrata Mohapatra, a friend of Mahendra.
According to his wife Pramila, Mahendra had to return home to attend her brother’s marriage for which he had bought a flight ticket. But stayed back due to corona restriction
