In a recent beauty contest in Goa, Odia girl Jyotirmayee Bal, who was the Miss Odisha title winner for 2014, has bagged the Miss Global India-2015 title. Addressing a media meet hosted by photography organisation Hotshot, Jyotirmayee shared her experience of the journey to get the pride for Odisha.
“I represented my lovely State by wearing a traditional Pasapalli lehnga with specially designed tribal jewelleries and I was carrying a bronze Thali with a coconut, bangle, Sindur, Haldi, rice and diya,” said Jyotirmayee. In the talent round, I performed a semi-classical dance sequence,” she added.
Hotshot head Sanjay Mohanty stated, “There was never any doubt on Jyotirmayee’s talent. The day we started working together it was explored that this girl was going to bring bigger and bigger laurels for pride for the State.”
