The Swabhimani Odia on Wednesday protested at Master Canteen Square here against the move for impeachment brought against Chief Justice of Supreme Court Dipak Misra by seven political parties “for narrow political interest”.
The members of the forum said the anti-Constitution and anti-democracy move was unfortunate as it was meant to malign Misra without any basis. They said that Justice Misra, who is an Odia, is honest and neutral and remained in the limelight by giving many land marking rulings. The move has hit the pride and sentiment of the people of Odisha, they slammed.
