The Odisha Dalit Adhikar Manch (ODAM) has strongly condemned the thrashing and public shaming of four dalit men for skinning a dead cow in Gujarat.
At a State-level meeting here on Thursday, the ODAM members expressed strong protests against the frequent incidents of atrocities against dalit people in various fields across the country.
Manch members Kamakhya Prasad Nayak, Prasanna Mallick, Ramachandra Nayak, Jayanti Parida, among others, spoke on the issue.
The ODAM called upon all people’s movement bodies and intellectuals to come forward and intensify the fight against atrocities against dalits and tribals in the coming days, said Manch State coordinator Prashant Mallick.
