The National Yuva Cooperative Society (NYCS) is going to organise an athletic competition at the Brahmapur Stadium on November 15, informed society ganjam district secretary Sarat Kumar Sahu at a Press meet here on Monday.
The competition would be held between two categories, i.e, from 11 to14 years and 14 to 17 years for 100, 200 and 400 meters. School students and sports hostel inmates of Ganjam and Gajapati districts can participate in the competition.
Sahu said that with the association of the Gas Authority of India limited (GAIl), the NYCS is organising the competition in more than 600 districts of the country.
last year, three students had been selected for the State-level and two among them were selected for national level.
The students who are interested for the competition can contact Ganjam district assistant coordinator Santosh Kumar Sahu and Gajapati district assistant coordinator Balkrushna Samantary.
