The Sahayog Nursing College here prayed to lord Ganesh for the wellbeing of the flood-affected families of Rayagada district, said college Principal Subrat.
Students invited a few eminent local citizens and sought blessings from them. Then, they all sought blessings of the lord by offering Pushpanjali and Prasad. No sound box was used to contain sound pollution. Only organic colours were used in making the lord and decoration. All nursing students vowed to dedicate their lives as health service providers.
“With this attitude, nursing students can render required services and instill behavioural change in all concerned in the KBK region. They can be the mini-Florence Nightingales of an area like KBK, which is infested with health catastrophes,” said Bidulata Huika, Ombudsman, Rayagada.
Among others, the college’s ex-faculty member Manoj Kumar Padhi and Rayagada Nagarika Manch president and scribe Badal Kumar Tah were present.
