A nurse of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here committed suicide by hanging herself on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Beli Kundu, a resident of Malda in West Bengal. As usual, her colleagues went for work early in the morning. However, Kundu did not go to work. When the staff returned back and knocked at the door, there was no response from inside raising suspicions in their minds. They informed the police following which cops broke open the door and found the nurse hanging from the ceiling.
The Khandagiri police recovered the body and sent it to the Capital Hospital for post mortem. A suicide note was found in the room in which she has blamed her family members for her death, sources said.
Sources said Kundu’s parents had fixed her marriage with a man from Malda. On the other hand, the woman allegedly was in a relationship with another person which the family members were opposed to. The woman had joined as a staff nurse in 2015.
