Nuapada district Collector Jaykumar has disengaged Social Education Organiser (SEO) of Boden block Umesh Bag for using a fake certificate as his proof of educational qualification for getting the job.
Bag, who got the job about three years ago, had produced the fake certificate of graduation using the name of Anchal College of Padmapur in Bargarh district, where he never studied.
The Collector after obtaining information from the college that the certificate submitted by Bag is false immediately suspended him from the post. “A criminal case for submitting the forged document will be filed against Bag,” said PD, DRDA, Nuapada P Nayak. Knowing that stern action will be taken against him, Bag has, in the mean time, absconded.
Many allegations were made against Bag by people during his tenure as the SEO of Sinapali and Boden blocks.
A number of corruption charges ertr levelled against him which has been investigated by the DRDA. Huge amounts of development funds are also pending in Bag’s name as advance since long.
The action of the Collector has been hailed by public as an appropriate step to clean the district of corruption.
