The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) held its 40th years’ anniversary here.
NTPC Regional Executive Director Arvind Kumar took pride in the fact hat the plant has generated as much as 45,548 megawatts of electricity.
Kumar said, “The plant has been an important part of the local community, a significant contributor to the economy and a committed keeper of the environment.” Each day over these years dozens of skilled, dedicated employees have worked diligently to operate the plant efficiently, reliably and responsibly, he said.
Through their efforts, NTPC has been a key contributor to the stability and reliability of the electrical system in the country, he said.
