Acting on the direction of the Panchayat Raj Department, district Collector Amrit Rituraj on Friday suspended Rajnagar sarpanch Prabhat Chandra Mishra for bungling MGNREGA money. According to local BDO Mandardhar Mahali, the Panchayat Raj Department directed district Collector to suspend the sarpanch.
Mishra was earlier served a so-cause notice in this regard. Notably, GRS Pramod Kumar Sahu was dismissed from job and Panchayat Executive Officer Prabhat Kumar Mallick was suspended for allegedly siphoning of NREGS fund by making an unholy nexus withsarpanch.
