The installation ceremony of the new team of the Rotary Club of Nabarangpur for the Rotary Year 2013-14 was held here on Sunday. District Superintendent of Police Brajesh Kumar Rai was the chief guest while the club’s new president Devi Prasad Patnaik presided over the function. The new team also includes N Mohan Rao as the secretary.
The Rotary Club of Nabarangpur has been adjudged as the Best Club in the Rotary District 3262 and Subhendu Mohanty as the Best Secretary. The club also got the special recognition for organising a record number of projects during the year 2012-13. Taking over as the new president, Patnaik said, "I'm really delighted because I now have a chance to give back something to the society.”
Rotarian Prahalad Tripathi, who is the chairman of the local municipality, announced to provide four decimals of land for construction of a club building. New secretary Rao also declared to provide another two decimals adjacent to the plot to be provided by Tripathi.
The new team was installed by Past Rotary president Jhadeswar Khadanga.Former Minister Janab Habibulla Khan, Dr Santosh Nag and Narasingha Tripathy were felicitated for their social services.
