Mohan Charan Behera, Junior Engineer (JE), Odisha lift Irrigation Corporation, Kosagumuda Section in Nabarangpur district, was arrested by the Vigilance police for taking bribe of Rs 4,000 on Tuesday.
He was caught red-handed by Vigilance sleuths in his office room while demanding and accepting the bribe from Harish Chandra Nayak of village Kosagumuda for installation of five bore-wells near his ploughing field.The bribe money was recovered from Behera’s pant pocket.
