The Nimapara administration has decided to extend help to a poor cancer patient after her plight was highlighted by Pioneer on September 5.
Devashmita Baral, daughter of Suresh Baral of Kothakusanga of Nimapara block, is suffering from bone cancer and the penury of her family stands in the way of her treatment.
local Tehsildar Kamaljeet Das ordered Balanga revenue inspector (RI) to give an inquiry report in the context. When contacted, Das said that the distressed family would be given financial help from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
The block administration also by the direction of Chairman Manaswini Khatoi has contacted with the family to give some financial help. Besides, Rs 5,000 has been given to the family by cheque from the Collector’s Emergency Fund.
