Additional District Sessions Judge, Nimapara, Pradip Kumar Pattnaik has awarded 10 years of imprisonment to Munabara Biswal of Balabhadrapur under the Astaranga police station for killing his own mother in September 2015.
Munabara’s elder brother’s wife Pratima Biswal had lodged a complaint at the Astaranga PS that Munabara had beaten his mother Netramani Biswal to death with a piece of wood.
Besides awarding imprisonment, the Judge also imposed a fine of RRs 1,000 on him failing which he would undergo six months’ extra imprisonment.
