Pro-Posco bodies organised a meet with women supporters in the proposed Posco project site village Gobindpur on the International Women’s Day on Friday in protest against the anti-Posco outfit Posco Pratirodh Sangrama Samiti’s (PPSS) act of degrading women’s image by holding a nude women’s rally on Thursday.
The pro-Posco meet was organised by Ranjan Bardhan, who has lodged an FIR against PPSS president Abhay Sahoo at the Abhayachandpur police station holding the latter responsible for the bomb blast incident killing three persons on Saturday last.
Speakers at the meet came down heavily on Abhay Sahoo for using women in an indecent manner that is creating a bad precedence. The meeting, presided over by Susama Swain, was addressed by Manju Dala, Mina Das, lili Swain, Anu Parida, Taula Das, Chandrama Das, Pramod Swain, Babuli Das and Hemant Bardhan. Over 200 women were present.
