The southwest monsoon withdrew from the whole of Odisha on Sunday, informed Director of IMD Centre, Bhubaneswar Sarat Chandra Sahu.
The monsoon had withdrawn completely from eight districts and partly from some other districts on Saturday. It withdrew from remaining parts of the State on Sunday, Sahu said.
He too informed that conditions are also favorable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from remaining parts of northeast India and some more parts of Bay of Bengal, peninsular India and Arabian Sea during next two to three days.
