The Commissionerate police have decided to take stringent action against those parking their vehicles illegally in Bhubaneswar. Wheels of vehicles of the violators would be locked and a fine of Rs 500 would be imposed on them.
On day one on Wednesday, action was taken against those who had parked their vehicles illegally near the Lok Seva Bhawan (State Secretariat), the SBI Main Branch and the RBI office.
Additional Traffic DCP Amaresh Panda said, “Random parking of vehicles has created hindrance in smooth movement of traffic in the city. To curb such activities, we have decided to impose fine on the violators.”
Notably, a couple of days ago, the Commissionerate police had initiated deployment of drones to check rash driving and violation of traffic rules in the city.
