Notice served to Revenue Min's wife

In the much-talked-about land lease agreement violation case, the General Administration (GA) Department on Tuesday finally served a show-cause notice to Revenue Minister Bijayshree Routray’s doctor-wife Jyoti Routray asking her to reply as to why the agreement would not be cancelled.

On June 30, 2014 the GA Department had found from a Revenue Inspector’s (RI) probe that the land, on which a two-storied house has been built, had been allotted to the Minister’s wife to set up a nursing home.

However, Dr Jyoti Routray has been residing in the building with her family, including the Minister, instead of establishing a hospital on the allotted plot violating the agreement norms.

Meanwhile, a signboard has been put up in the backside of the Minister’s house mentioning that a nursing home is functioning in the same building. The names of the Minister’s wife and some other specialists are also written on the signboard.
