The North Odisha StartupFest-2017 organised by the North Orissa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Nocci) and Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) and Department of Electronics and IT of the State Government, was inaugurated here on Wednesday by Mayurbhanj district Collector Rajesh Prabhakar Patil.
The main objective of the event is to create a platform to discuss new business and enterprise idea, especially in IT and related fields, before a group of potential angel investors and bankers and learn about the available ecosystem in the State, along with Government incentives for the IT industry, said Nocci president Devashis Mahanti.
During the fest, the topics and agendas included the presentation by experienced and potential entrepreneurs, discussions on interesting case studies, special session for women entrepreneurship and social enterprises and projects, demonstration on various applications, software, games and services by the students and other start up entrepreneurs.Hari Group chairman HK Das, DIC General Manger P Pravakar Rao, STPI, Bhubaneswar Deputy Director Saurjya Ranjan Patra, Nasscom regional head (East) Nirupam Chaudhuri and Nocci secretary CP Bhartia were present in the inaugural ceremony.
