School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Wednesday informed the Assembly that all 16,117 primary schools and 288 of 298 Government girls’ high schools in the State have lavatories.
The Minister informed that the Government girls’ high school at Dey Sahi in Kendrapara district has no lavatory. Eleven of the Government-aided private girls high schools have no lavatories.
The Minister informed this in response to a question of Congess MLA Santosh Singh Saluja on Wednesday.
The Minister assured that steps would be taken to provide lavatories to all the schools at the earliest.
