Responding to some media reports, the Indian Oil Paradip Refinery Project (IOCl PDRP) management on Tuesday clarified that it has not initiated any drive to recruit candidates for the project.
“Some local media reports that the project authorities will soon give skill development training to local unemployed youths and subsequently employ them in regular jobs is not correct,” the refinery authorities clarified.
It further clarified that the objective of the skill development training programmes, it has taken up, is to upgrade vocational skills and enhance employability and self-employability in local unemployed youths.
The programmes have been worked out by IOCl as a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative for peripheral development in consultation with district civil administration, it said.
